Dr. Chang is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the National Taiwan University and adjunct supervisor of the Department of Nursing at the National Taiwan University Hospital.
She has a research program focused on screening youths at risk for substance abuse nationwide.
Dr. Chang led research to improve the safe use of sedatives and hypnotics, reducing the risk of substance abuse associated with sleeping pills.
During 2020-2022, she served as the deputy director of the Nursing department at National Taiwan University Hospital.
Since 2020, Dr. Chang developed educational sessions for school nurses to manage infectious diseases on campus.
She has secured over $20 million in funding for research and has more than 60 refereed publications.
Past roles include department chair of Nursing at Deryu College and department chair of health promotion at Kainan University.
Dr. Chang is a recognized teacher and mentor, awarded as a National Distinguished Nursing Scholar in 2022 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in 2023.
She has been the president of the Taiwan Association of Clinical Research Nurses (TACRN) since 2019.
Dr. Chang served as an alternate supervisor (2020-2023) and alternate director (2023-2026) of Lambda Beta-at-Large Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
She is an advisory consultant in the National Substance Abuse Prevention Committee and National Expert Committee on School Health Services.
